The Noles Engaged in Politics (NEP) program is a comprehensive professional development program that is hosted each spring semester by the Office of Governmental Affairs. This program is specifically designed to engage and educate students on politics and government systems, current issues affecting the state of Florida and the higher education system, as well as provide leadership and weekly mentorship opportunities for students on campus and at the Capitol.
NEP participants engage in workshops that include guest speakers, curriculum on florida government, lessons on professionalism and networking, and the skills necessary for effective lobbying. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Florida Capitol, the Governor's Mansion, and the Florida Supreme Court, as well as lobby during FSU Day at the Capitol on relevant and pressing FSU student body issues..
Not sold? Noles Engaged in Politics has placed dozens of students in internships all across state and local government including the Senate President, Speaker of the House and Governor's Office.
1. Weekly NEP meetings every Wednesday from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. The meetings will take place staring February 7th and end April 26th.
