Asian American Student Union
The Asian American Student Union is a Student Government Agency belonging to Florida State University. The AASU is currently made up of eleven affiliate organizations (continuing to grow). This includes identity based, major based and multicultural fraternity and sorority organizations. Throughout the year, AASU hosts educational and social events that promote Asian culture to the campus and Tallahassee community as a whole. AASU also promotes awareness of common Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues faced today.
Black Student Union
Our mission here at The Black Student Union is to be a Student Government Agency that offers black students a form of identity, and a social life. The Black Student Union seeks to develop unity among black students so that jointly and strongly they can express concerns and problems faced on campus.
Hispanic/Latinx Student Union
The HLSU shall serve as an institution dedicated to unifying, informing, and serving the Hispanic/Latinx community at the Florida State University (FSU) and Tallahassee community. The HLSU will function as an educational and cultural learning instrument for all students, faculty and staff. It shall provide a centralized coordination of resources and services for the Hispanic/Latino community.
Jewish Student Union
Reestablished as an agency in 2021, The Jewish Student Union serves as a welcoming and accepting environment for Jewish students, Jewish allies, and all interested students. We are the centralized home for the Jewish community at Florida State University. We educate and inform the student body of the culture of Judaism as well as issues pertinent to the Jewish community, such as the Holocaust and Antisemitism.
Pride Student Union
Established in 1969, Pride Student Union is Florida State University’s largest and most prominent LGBTQ+ student-run organization. Our mission is to advocate for, empower, and provide community spaces for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people within both the FSU and Tallahassee communities.
Veterans Student Union
A question for all you motivators out there: Have you been bringing a high level of leadership and awesomeness to the table everyday while attending FSU? Are you looking for a new challenge to enhance yourself and the mission of veterans at FSU, in our community, even nationwide? Join the ranks of the best student veterans and veteran supporters in the nation (Seriously, we are the best. Just ask Student Veterans of America.) and continue to show the nation why we are the most veteran friendly school in the nation.
Women Student Union
The Women Student Union is an identity-based group within Student Government whose overall mission is to unite women on the common purpose of individual self-growth. WSU places emphasis on addressing the issues collegiate women face and proving the forum in which they can be enlightened and empowered. It is our sincere hope that a spirit of camaraderie and a sense of strength and solidarity can be fostered month the women on our campus.
