The mission of the Student Government Association (SGA) is to provide FSU students with representation, services, and advocacy within the university structure. The SGA provides quality leadership for, and accountability to, its constituency by recognizing that strength arises from diversity, engagement, and dialogue.
Colbi is from Jacksonville, Florida majoring in Business Management and minoring in Economics. In the two years she has been attending FSU, she has been involved in the Student Government Association by serving on FSU’s Union Board where she advocated for the student body by ensuring that they were provided with programs, services, and amenities that met the interests of its constituents. Colbi also serves as the Vice President/COO of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, where she promotes the chapter mantra of “women empowering women” and gives back to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a national organization where volunteers speak on behalf of abused and neglected children. She was a member of the Belly Dancers at Florida State where they promoted inclusion and cultural diversity. Colbi also participates in events with the Best Buddies organization and with FSU’s Dance Marathon. Her involvement at FSU contributes towards her goal of breaking down discriminatory barriers and promoting equality and inclusion for all.
