In 1994, the United States designated October as LGBT History Month. Here at the Pride Student Union, we celebrate our history every October through a month-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. National Coming Out Day (October 11), as well as the first "March on Washington" in 1979, are all honored and commemorated through month-long programming.
