The Student Government Mission

The mission of the Student Government Association (SGA) is to provide FSU students with representation, services, and advocacy within the university structure. The SGA provides quality leadership for, and accountability to, its constituency by recognizing that strength arises from diversity, engagement, and dialogue.

 


SGA SPOTLIGHT

COGS Deputy Speaker for Finance: Caitlyn Blake-Hedges

Caitlyn Blake-Hedges is a representative for the College of Medicine. Originally from Port Tobacco, Maryland Caitlyn received her B.S. in Microbiology with a minor in Psychology from Clemson University in 2016. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, where her research interests include the study of embryonic development through cytoskeletal regulation using Drosophila as a model. Her career goals are to work in science policy at the federal level where she can help advocate for the advancement of science and promote funding for scientific research.
