About Stefano Cavallaro
Stefano J. Cavallaro currently serves as the Director of Governmental Affairs. A second-year student at FSU, Stefano is pursuing a double major in Political Science and Accounting. Born in Portland, ME, Stefano grew up and calls home beautiful Venice, FL—the Shark’s Tooth Capitol of the World—where he was the Valedictorian of his high school senior class.
Elected to the Student Senate the spring of his freshman year, Stefano previously was the Chairman of the Finance Committee in the 65th and 64th Student Senates and was awarded the “Chairman of the Year” honor by his peers. Stefano is a brother of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and currently serves as the Interfraternity Council’s Vice President of Finance. He is also a member of Garnet & Gold Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, and is an Honors Legal Scholar. Stefano enjoys rooting on our Seminole sports teams, playing intramural softball, and donating his time to charitable causes.
Our Mission
The mission of the Student Government Association’s Office of Governmental Affairs is to provide Florida State University students with representation and advocacy within the university community and at all levels of government. Special emphasis is placed on monitoring the Florida Governmental process from which the University receives a majority of its funding. In addition the Office of Governmental Affairs Board of Directors is committed to informing the student body of key Governmental issues of interest and impact.
