Our Mission

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) for the College of Arts and Sciences is a round-table of representatives from each of the 18 departments of the College of Arts and Sciences. Spanning the humanities and sciences, our college is the largest of all Colleges, embracing the entire spectrum of academia. Members advocate for each department to help students, faculty, and administration improve the College, create new connections, build networks, and bring together the widest range of disciplines FSU has to offer.

 

Currently the SLC is committed to three initiatives with the establishment of three committees regarding the importance of increasing student involvement on campus, promoting opportunities for outreach in the Tallahassee community including TCC and FAMU, and progressing the destigmatization of mental health as well as promoting access to available resources for students on campus.
