Ladies' Legacy Banquet Awards

The Women Student Union and Azaela Leadership Awards Association have collaborated for this year’s Women’s History Month Ladies’ Legacy Banquet awards.  Below are the criteria for the eight awards recognizing FSU women for a variety of successes on campus and off. 



The Spirit of Service Award
Community Campus Servant Award
The female student being nominated for the Community Campus Servant Award should be someone who consistently gives back to the Florida State University, local, or global community. Area of service is not specified, but engagement for this student should be shown both inside and outside the classroom. This student must have a 2.5 grade point average.


Strength Award
This award recognizes a woman not only of a strong body but of a strong mind. She has determination unmatched by others and a strength of spirit that seems to make her unstoppable. (student)

Trailblazer Award
This award recognizes a woman who has demonstrated leadership on campus and is respected for her commitment to Florida State University. She has set an example future generations to follow. (student)

Paradigm Award
This award recognizes a woman who seems to have it all. She balances outstanding professional and personal achievements and serves as a model for success. She has the ability to influence and encourage others. Her leadership and dedication to a variety of interests contribute to the greater good of Florida State University. (student)

Engage Award
This inaugural award recognizes an FSU alumna and/ or faculty member that engages with the women community.

Embrace Award
This award is given to a woman who works with the women community to help spread the concept of embracing and appreciating diversity. This individual works to promote the fair treat and respect for all women. This award can be given to an FSU student, faculty, or alumni.

Empower Award
This award is given to a woman that exemplifies "Empowered Woman Empowering Women". This woman works within the Tallahassee community to promote the empowerment and advancement of the women community.
