Veterans Month Unveiling

  • November 4th from 5-6pm
  • Come out to Landis Green for the Unveiling of Veterans Month. The month is dedicated to show honor and appreciation to all current and past members of the military who have given their time and service to defending our country’s freedoms. President Thrasher will be in attendance to kickoff Veterans Appreciation Month.

Care Package Event with AOII: Sisters for Soldiers

  • November 8th from 5-8:30pm
  • Located: Landis
  • The Veteran Student Union and Alpha Omicron Pi will have a care package event where the campus community can donate items and write Thank you cards to our veterans that are deployed overseas. 

Red Hills CrossFIT Hero WOD

  • November 11th from 9am-12pm
  • Come workout at Red Hills CrossFIT for their annual Hero Workout of the Day (WOD). When a service member dies in the line of duty, a CrossFit hero workout is created in their name. Hero WODs are an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of the fallen – to speak their names and honor their memories. Red Hills CrossFIT is located on 3185 Capital Cir NE, Tallahassee, FL 32308

Fallen Heroes Ceremony

  • November 11th at 11am
  • Located at Mina Jo Powel Alumni Green
  • Fallen Heroes ceremony is an opportunity for the community to honor those who lost their lives in the line of duty, to support the survivors, and to thank our everyday heroes who risk their lives to ensure our freedom.

Tinsley 5K

·         November 17th at 8am

·         Located Langford Green

·         The members of the FSU Seminole Battalion are proud to present the 9th annual Captain John Tinsley memorial 5k. Each year the race is held in honor of our Seminole Battalion brother. Captain John Tinsley was killed in action on August 9, 2009 in Afghanistan. On November 17, 2019 we will join the FSU family in conducting a race to honor Captain Tinsley as well as raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Breakfast will be provided.
