The Seminoles defeated the Gators in a match taking place on University of Florida campus. FSU took three teams to this competition.

Seminole Table tennis Classic
September 2000 @ FSU

The Seminole Table Tennis Classic tournament was organized by the FSU Table Tennis Club and held at the Bobby E Leach Center. The tournament was a city wide table tennis tournament open to any students, faculty, or staff of any area school or college. The tournament was sponsored by Tallahassee Billards and Bar Stools and Specialty Sportswear while featuring close to 50 participants.

The FSU Table Tennis Club was represented in this USATT sanctioned tournament. People from Florida, Alabama, and Georgia joined in this event.

Seminole Table Tennis Open
June 2000 @ FSU

The Seminole Table Tennis Open was organized by the FSU Table Tennis Club and held at the Bobby E Leach Center at FSU. The tournament was a city wide table tennis tournament open to any students, faculty, or staff of any area school or college. The tournament was sponsored by Tallahassee Billards and Bar Stools and saw 48 people participate including 8 from the University of Florida club.
 
 

 
2000 NCTTA Team Collegiate Championships
April 2000 @ MIT in Boston, MA

The FSU table tennis teamqualified for its first ever national tournament. The FSU team traveled the farthest to attend this competition and left its mark by nearly upsetting top contenders Harvard. The FSU tean finished 4th in the nation in its first ever national tournament.
