About Rugby The Florida State University Men’s Rugby Football Club is an entirely student-run organization founded in 1972. In recent years, the FSU RFC has experience great growth in both participation and organization of the club. FSU RFC has also had plenty of recent success, with its highest honor being winning the 2005 USA Rugby South Championship and taking part in the Division 2 Elite Eight National Championship Playoffs. ![]()
Rugby is a unique sport that combines all of the basic tenants of athleticism into one game. It requires speed, strength, endurance, agility, fearlessness, and mental toughness to succeed. There is also a unique social aspect to the sport that is only found in rugby. By playing rugby, you become part of an international fraternity that cannot be matched anywhere else.
