WELCOME!
to the FSU Caribbean Student Association Website
“Caribbean by nature united by choice”
Greetings Island Massives, It is with much honor and respect that I welcome you all to our website. My name is Brian Wallace, Jr. and I currently serve as the 2007-2008 president of this great organization. The Florida State University Caribbean Student Association otherwise known as CSA was founded on February 7th 1974 and became a registered student organization in 1975.
The organization was created on the foundation to provide Caribbean students with an active voice on campus and in the Tallahassee community. Our overall goal as an organization is to educate, make aware, and inform ourselves as we inform our peers about the diversity of cultures and countries that compose the beautiful region of the Caribbean. Thus, this message goes out to both Caribbean and non-Caribbean people. In doing so we strive to create social events through cultural activities, food and fun.
I have been a dedicated member of CSA since my freshman year and it is truly my home away from home. I started off as a general member, then worked my way to Activities Chair and currently serve as your President. My executive board, as well as myself, are eager to serve and ready to start off what should be a very momentous and exciting year. Once again, we welcome you all and hope that you continue to visit our website and attend our events. It’s going to be a great year, so don’t miss out! -- Brian A. Wallace, Jr.
