Meet the Executive Board

 

 

Director:
Richell De Jesus is a second-year student majoring in Criminology at Florida State University. Born in the beautiful country of Dominican Republic, she is proud to represent the Hispanic/Latino Student Union as Director. Richell has also served in other positions on campus including the board of the Dominican Student Association and as an Orientation Leader for Florida State. She is passionate to serve the Hispanic/Latino community at FSU and Tallahassee and hopes to advance HLSU in uniting, serving, and informing their community.  


 

 

 

 

 

 

Assistant Director:

Idel Mena is a second-year student majoring in Studio Art at Florida State University. He was born and raised in Artemisa, Cuba and wears his flag on his back, he is proud to represent the Hispanic/Latino Student Union as the Assistant Director. He is also The Public Relations Co-Director for PeaceJam and the Head Stylist for SWATCH Magazine. His passions include serving others, being a full time air bender, and being an activist for the Hispanic/Latino community. He hopes to make HLSU as inclusive as possible, and will work till that is achieved.


 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

Public Relations:
Kevin Rojas is in his 3rd year at FSU. He is pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences and minoring in Chemistry and Spanish. He is currently in a Spanish Medical Interpreting program to get certified in order to help the Hispanic/Latino community get the health care they deserve. Kevin is also heavily involved in numerous of organizations around campus that are centered around community service such as the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students. After graduating, he hopes to pursue a Master's in Cellular and Molecular Biology or Genetics and Genetic Counseling.
