COBOL, the Coalition Of Black Organizational Leadership, is a network of primarily black Recognized Student Organizations at FSU. Speculation is that BSU's Gassant-Bouie administration established COBOL.
BSU seeks to help each Black RSO accomplish its goals. After a COBOL organization formally invites BSU's participation, BSU considers whether to contribute funds or advertising and promotional help.
RSOs affiliated with BSU must:
--Attend all mandatory monthly COBOL meetings
--Notify BSU of event programming weeks
--Support BSU in mandatory events, including COBOL week
--Cooperate with COBOL organizations to avoid over-programming
--Comply with co-sponsorship agreements
COBOL organizations must participate in these BSU-sponsored events:
--COBOL Week during Black History Month
