The Institute for Liberal Studies strives to provide a home for, and education about, liberal students at Florida State. The Institute is charged by SGA to be a forum for presenting liberal perspectives to education, politics, philosophy, and social issues; facilitate and foster communication between like minded liberal and progressive organizations; work with other campus and community organizations in order to encourage collective action campaigns which will benefit FSU students and the community; provide lectures, workshops, and other liberal and progressive programs; and provide all these services without charging a fee.
